I have a little 'research and comparison of different netbooks before the solution to this. It has everything I needed and wanted (802.11n wireless, Bluetooth, webcam, 10-inch screen, 3 USB ports and VGA output) and the price is very reasonable. It comes with Windows XP, but also meets the minimum requirements for Windows 7 I am quite optimistic that the Home Premium or Professional, it works pretty well on it when I get the chance to do the installation. It also comes with a 60 day trial MS Office 2007, which is nice to play, but still I was not tempted away from the free [...] suite, which works like a charm.
This small computer is working out very well for my lifestyle. I already had a desktop replacement (17-inch) laptops, but is a pain to carry around that was usually only get on your desktop. This, in the hands of others, I can carry everywhere. Go into the bedroom to work on school work, a room to play on the Internet while watching my daughter, and up to the office to print stuff. Go around town in my backpack with the included padded sleeve for protection.
This computer is probably not sufficient as a normal machine for users of existing computers, but it could be a good entry point for seniors who just want email and do a little research on the web. It is also an addition at affordable prices for those who want a notebook to supplement the existing system.
